its nuts!

Big Daddy still hasn't found a new job so things are still a little crazy around here. :) Eldest and I are still trying to get into a homeschool routien then you throw in School and all the other stuff we do and we are still struggling to get our feet underneath us. Life is a little nutty everyday but we love it that way.
The cover school we signed up under is great but we are still trying to find activites for us to take part in, im trying to get some sort of dialogue with some of the other parents about any activites but i think right now everyone is just as crazy as we are. Maybe in a few weeks once everything calms down.
Middlest has now lost two teeth total and has learned how to scate backwards in Hockey!! I am SOOOOO proud of her. She wants to continue with her lessons with makes me sooo happy I like that she loves Hockey.
Biggwrl is growing like a weed. She is loveing having Sissy home with her all the time. She has learned to spell RO!! She also got to spend the night with Gwamma and Pookieboo for the very first time! She and Gwamma made chocolate chip pancakes!!
Thing are going good :)
Tomorrow Biggwrl and BigDaddy and myself are hitting the dog park.. we will have to see what kind of trouble we can get into there.

mommy daughter trip

Last week a friend of Big Daddys offered Eldest and I an amazing oppertunity. To come to Fl. and help out with a campain. Eldest has never flown and since she is a homeschooler now we JUMPED at the oppertunity. It has been an AMAZING experiance to discover how politics REALLY work. I mean just amazing! The first day we got here we mostly rested and hung out in our room. the next morning we hit the beach before work. Eldest discovered some other kids here her age and decided to head out and pass out door hangers. While I worked the phone bank and got to know other homeschool mothers. When the " walkers" returned they waved signs while the office workers finished up for the day. I got the job of bringing the younger kids (10-13) back to the hotel to play before dinner. We had so much fun!! It's nice to just sit back and see how the kids work together. Today we hit the "events" we went to several rallies and the kids got the oppertunity to meet our canidate ask questions and learn about issues. Eldest is getting such a great lesson in politics. I was asked to do a favor for one of the other groups so we were seperated for most of the day but she was just overwhelmed with how much she has learned. I am soooo proud of how she handled ppl. By the way. we have also learned how UGLY ppl can be during elections. People come on! Learn some manners I know you momma taught you better than to act like that! We had one person start cursing about our canidate to the kids!!! They were VERY well behaved about it though. it's been a great busy time for us.

BigDaddy is learning AGAIN how to be a mommy and how hard her job is. But I think he is enjoying this unique time to spend getting to know better his little girls. When i called this afternoon to talk to BigGwrl before her nap she told me all about the cookies she was making with Daddy and how he had taken her and her "babies" to the doggy park. I am so greatful to have a husband who WANTS to spend time with his kids and wants to know them better. I pray they all enjoy this time and much as Eldest and I are enjoying our first mommy daughter trip.

Breaking News:

HEAT WAVES CAUSES RANCHERS TO SELL BARBECUE DIRECTLY FROM THE FIELD

Ranchers in southern states hit be sweltering heat are selling

fully cooked barbecue right from the livestock.

"We let the customer choose the cattle and then we hose it down

with sauce and send it out into the fields. Within twenty minutes

the barbecue is piping hot and ready to eat," said a Texas rancher.

Barbecue restaurants are crying foul over the direct sales of the

product to the public.

"This damn heat wave is killing the cattle and our business. We

can't compete with the lower overhead of the rancher when we provide

our customers with a table, chairs and fan as well as swat flies,"

said waitress Flo Moore of the "Greasy Fat Dripping Spoon" restaurant

in Amarillo.

The heat has also changed business for farmers who are using their

former crop fields as giant baking pans for brownies.

"It's the only way I can put my land and this hellish heat to any

use so I'm baking white chocolate, espresso brownies with macadamia

nuts for those rip-off coffee houses, said a farmer in Oklahoma

Adventures in Homeschooling

So now that i am an offical homeschooling mom i've been trying to fit everything in each day.
I think Eldest is gaining an appreciation for how much I do each day. I have found several awesome web pages that you can make your own muliple choice worksheets, spelling games, ect. THEY ARE AWESOME! We are doing so good (so far). Except in math. We learned that reading from the text book does not mean that I can teach it hahah. Algebraic Expression is not something that I understand easliy. Luckily Big Daddy is an engineer so he does. Anyways. Middlest loves her new teacher and loves getting to see all her friends. She comes home bubbling telling me all about it. I love her enthusium. We've been trying to get time to get bread lessons squeezed in. So far we have not had the time but we will.
One thing i have learned about homeschooling is that once everyone hears about it they all want to help. We have so many ppl offering to do certin classes with her it is very much the village kind of thing I LOVE IT!!
i could ramble all night BUT BigDaddy is on his way home.

Homeschoolin Momma!

I am pleased to announce that I am now offically a homeschoolin' mom! Eldest will be homeschooled from now on.. well a while at least hahah. We are so excited to see what kind of new experiances and trouble we can get into. She is finally excited about it and raring to go! I am relived that she no longer looks at me like im the evil stepmother ( even though I am). She is asking when her new books will be in, when she gets to go to science class. I am so relived. The scary thoughts still linger about if im screwing up my daughters life HOWEVER. God pressed this on me and Ms. Ducky that this was the right thing for Eldest. To build an education around our child. What greater privledge could there be?

growin up...

My middlest is growing by leaps and bounds. She is starting first grade, she lost her first tooth... she is offically a BIG GIRL now. I suppose. My heart is breaking. It seems like not yesterday but not so long ago that she was my little star shine of a baby. Laughing and talking all the time. Now well she still laughs and talks all the time but its diffrent.
I'm trying not to cry everytime she hugs me. I thought last year was bad but FIRST GRADE thats "real school".
At least my baby (biggwrl) will never leave me.
